I’m glad to present the Orthodox Christian calendar in Chinese language.
As with the other editions, the calendar includes the full calendar of feast and saints and it doesn’t require internet connection. It can display both the old (Julian) and the new (Gregorian) calendar.
The Orthodox Calendar app is now available for free for the iPhone and iPad devices.
The app is fully in Russian, it follows the Julian Calendar, and it displays the full list of feast and saints celebrated for each day.
Also, as with the Android version of this app, it is possible to navigate through the days, both past and future, by date, or in relation to the Pascha.
Fasting rules are also displayed, but are not to be taken too literally, they are correct, but it’s better to speak to your priest rather than rely on those notes only.

The calendar includes the full calendar of feast and saints. It does not require internet connection, so it will display the feast, or the saint of the day, even if you are on Sinai or Mount Athos 🙂
The calendar can be set to follow both the New (Gregorian) and the Old (Julian) calendar style, check the menu.
Fasting rules are also displayed, but you are kindly asked not too rely too much on them, they are accurate, but you should consult your priest for the details.
A link to the Prologue of Ohrid of St Nikolai Velimirovic for each day is also included.

Рад сообщить что программа Православного Календаря сейчас доступна в Магазине Νokia. Программа бесплатная и работает на устройства типа Symbian. В ближайшее время с Божией помочи будет опубликована и версия для S40.

The Android platform is being used on an ever increasing number of different devices. One of the novelties is the Sony SmartWatch Extension, a wearable mini Android device. Well, if you happen to have it on your wrist to check the time, your mail, or twitter updates, it may come handy to take a look also at the feast of the day.
The Orthodox Calendar for SmartWatch displays the feast or the saint of the day, and on the second screen (reachable via tap on the screen) – the information about the week and the period, as well as the fasting rules of the day. This is available both in Control and Widget mode.
Also, by swiping left and right, one can browse through the days. Enough for the start, if there proves to be more interest, more could be added.
The app is in Russian only and follows the old (Julian) calendar.

Хотел представить небольшую статистику использования и популярности различных приложениях православного календаря для Андроид. Мог бы дать субъективное заключение что из-за этого что программа Eir3 Apps установлена на двойном количестве устройств чем прочих, так как и количество голосования наибольшее – она может быть названа самая популярная программа Православного Календаря для Андроид. Но, в любом случае, это только нынешнее состояние, которое можно быт изменено в будущем. Увидим.
I am happy to announce the version 2.0 of the Russian and English version of the Orthodox Calendar for Android. (The update of the Greek version is still to come, expect its release in the near future!)
What is new?
First and most important – it includes the full calendar of saints and feasts! As there were some complaints that feasts that are celebrated in certain places were missing, I decided to include all saints.
An interesting novelty is the possibility to go to a paschal-related-date, both in the future and in the past. That makes it very easy to check when will the next Pascha be, or when will the next Lent begin…
The English version of the app offers the option to choose which calendar style to use – the new (Gregorian) or the old (Julian) one.
