One thing I was missing in the dialer, was the possibility to access the SMS messages. I never understood why should there be two different logs for the calls and for the messages. Thus, starting from version 2.6.0, Fast Dialer combines these two logs into one.
As expected, blue is for received and green is for sent messages. Enjoy!
